Ozone Therapy

Ozone gas, which is formed by the combination of three oxygen molecules, is one of the most powerful chemicals with the potential to oxidize and degrade organic compounds. This chemical component, which disrupts the healthy atmospheric structure and shows toxic effects on many tissues and organs if taken into the body by inhalation, is also effective on harmful organisms such as viruses and bacteria.

After the discovery of this feature, ozone gas, which was first used in areas such as surface cleaning for disinfection purposes, is now preferred in many branches in the medical field with its antiseptic effect as well as pain relief, anti-inflammatory and immune function regulating effects.

When ozone gas comes into contact with living organisms, it is rapidly converted into molecular oxygen and oxygen radicals. This situation, which causes a mild oxidative stress in the body, is perceived as a threat by the organism. As a result, the enzymes involved in the defense systems called antioxidants are stimulated and the affected area is purified from toxins by making it rich in oxygen.

In order for the mechanism of action of ozone gas to work correctly, it is critical to correctly calculate the treatment dose to be applied. All treatment interventions to be applied with this chemical molecule, which shows toxic effects at high concentrations, must be carried out under expert control and patients should be closely monitored for the specified period.
