Acupuncture for Weight Loss

Acupuncture in Weight Loss Treatment
A balanced weight is very important for a healthy life. When obesity (obesity) develops due to excessive weight gain, internal organs are damaged. These damages can cause fatal health problems. Therefore, what we call obesity is actually a disease. Obesity is a serious problem that we encounter before or after many diseases. Regardless of the reason for which the patient applies to the doctor, if he/she has obesity, he/she is recommended to lose weight somehow.

Obesity is one of the biggest problems that arise today with changing eating habits and sedentary life. Increased adipose tissue due to excessive weight gain causes cardiovascular, liver and pancreatic damage. Another complication awaiting obese people is diabetes, that is, diabetes, which leads to damage to the vessels and destruction of the eyes, kidneys, brain and many other organs.

Why does a person gain excess weight when it is possible to maintain a normal healthy weight? Sedentary life brought about by modern life, additives in food, not eating naturally, eating at the wrong times are just a few simple answers. In addition, instead of explaining the causes of obesity and showing solutions, some media organizations abuse the issue for the sake of ratings, which makes it difficult to inform the public correctly. For example, when we criticized dietitians who recommended drinking 5 liters of water a day until a few years ago, we were blamed. Unfortunately, we watched the deaths of people who tried to drink too much water in this way from kidney failure on the news channels. Again, confusing death fasts, weight loss programs, weight loss food additives, unconsciously recommended exercises also reveal how much the subject is abused. Our metabolism is disrupted as a result of such wrong practices and the damage to organs is sometimes irreversible. After defining obesity as a disease, its causes should be fully examined. Along with systemic examination and blood tests, if necessary, the mental health of the person should also be evaluated. Genetic, hormonal, dietary habits and psychogenic aspects should be defined correctly. For example, the treatment of a patient with a slow thyroid gland such as goiter depends on the correct functioning of the thyroid gland or the administration of thyroid hormones externally if they are deficient.

Treatment protocols and heavy diets applied without a complete examination of the patient who wants to lose weight can temporarily lose weight at the beginning. However, after a while, the body protects itself against low-calorie nutrition and weight loss stops. This process of gaining and losing weight between treatments has a yo-yo effect, and the metabolism deteriorates, making it increasingly difficult to treat and diagnose correctly.

With acupuncture treatment, the internal organs are not damaged as the appetite is stopped or reduced. In addition, complaints such as weakness, fatigue or other diseases such as fatty liver, gallbladder stones are also eliminated with acupuncture. In addition to physical health, mental health is also protected and the patient is brought closer to his/her ideal weight.
